One of our clients asked for our contribution in shifting from standardized production to new customer-based production.
The research revealed a network suited to the old strategy: an administrative and hierarchical operation. The new production system needed a direct and closer connection between the key departments. To make this happen, the management had to change the status quo. Strategically important job families were identified and we helped them develop the required communication and cooperation network.
We identified the structural competencies of the key employees in the old system to see who were capable of slotting into their new position, who needed support and who had to be given a new role.
Six months after conducting a network analysis, the employees who had left our client’s organization were analysed. After processing answers given in the BondWeaver online survey, the degree of “organizational embeddedness” of each employee was visualized.
It was found that co-workers on the periphery of the network were 18 times more likely to leave the organization. Our attrition prediction accuracy reached 66%.

Our client wanted to increase efficiency within the organization. In our analysis, we checked the following: when X thinks that (s)he must cooperate with Y, does Y also think that (s)he has to cooperate with X. So do they regard their cooperation mutually important or not? If X wants to collaborate with Y but Y is not open to that: lots of time and energy can be wasted!
It was found that every employee wasted 5 hours every week focusing on non-realized cooperation.
